Tune: 'Lassie Come and Dance wi Me'

This is hard to describe and takes time to learn but is fabulous to dance - well worth the effort!

Longways set dance for 4 couples

1 2 3 4

This dance is symmetrical through-out - whatever couple one does, couple four do at the same time

Bars 1-4	1^st and 4^th couples set to partner and cast off behind 2^nd couple
Bars 5-8	Half figure 8 around nearest end couple and end up down one place on the wrong side of the dance

2 1 4 3

Bars 9-12	1^st & 4^th men form arch as do 1^st & 4^th ladies. They swap sides with ladies going under the men's arch
cont....	They then turn their nearest corner with the nearest hand and everyone ends up back in their own place

1 2 3 4

Bars 13-16	1^st & 4^th couple now join hands with own partner - 1^st couple have backs to the band - 4^th couple are facing the band
cont....	They walk towards each other with the 1^st couple passing under the arch made by the 4^th couple and turn the nearest corners

2 4 1 3

Bars 17-20	1^st & 4^th men form arch as do 1^st & 4^th ladies. They swap sides with ladies going under the men's arch
cont....	They then turn their nearest corner with the nearest hand

4 2 3 1

Bars 21-24	1^st couple are now facing the band - 4^th have their backs to the band. They swap places but this time the 1^st couple make the arch.
cont....	They then turn their nearest corner with the nearest hand

1^st couple are now in position 2 or wrong side

4^th couple are now in position 3 or wrong side

2 1 4 3

Bars 25-28	1^st & 4^th couple dance half rights and lefts (half turn with right hand to partner - half turn with left hand to other gent/lady)
Bars 29-32	1^st & 4^th couple swing partners for 4 bars

2 4 1 3

End up with 1^st couple in 3^rd position

4^th couple in 2^nd position

repeat for other couples
