Tune: A variety of well known reels

eg Mrs MacLeod, Mason's Apron, Fairy Dance, De'il among the Tailors

Needs original(40 bars) + 8 other reels (48 bars each)

4 couples in a square set
stand beside partner couple one have backs to the band

PART A
 Bars 1-8  All join hands and dance eight beats round to the left and back again to original places
 Bars 9-16  All women right hand star whilst retaining hold of partners with left hands.(Count of 8) Then women release right hands, Gents retaining hold of partners with right hands move forward to change direction then dance left hand star back to original places.
 Bars 17-24  All set to partners twice then swing for 8
 Bars 25-40  All dance a 'grand chain' ­Men move anti-clockwise, ladies clockwise ie they dance round the set giving right hand to partner to begin then alternate hand to each man or woman they meet until they are all back in original places, then face the centre.

PART B

Bars 1 - 8  1st woman moves into the centre of the dance and dances alone, while all the rest dance eight beats round to the left and back again
 Bars 9 - 16  1st woman sets to and turns partner then sets to and turns 3rd man. 
 Bars 17 - 24 Turn 1st, turn 3rd, turn 1st, turn 3rd - 1st woman stays in the centre.
 Bars 25 - 32  Repeat bars 1-8
 Bars 33 - 40  1st woman sets to and turns 2nd man then sets to and turns 4th man.
 Bars 44 - 48  1st woman, turns 2nd man, 4th man, 2nd man, 4th man

1st woman resumes her original place in the dance and 2nd woman moves into the centre

Play Part B eight times, 2nd 3rd and 4th woman, then 1st 2nd 3rd and 4th men each have a turn in the centre.

In bars 9 - 16 the person in the centre must always set to partner first then the person opposite
